New residential units along a low density residential street.
Concept
For viability reasons the Client was looking to increase the density level for the site and provide a very specific housing mix including large wheelchair units, and large family flats.
MDR used the sloping site and roof gable details of the adjacent buildings to develop three and four storey buildings in a predominantly two storey street.
The expressed gables are a combination of open walkway, private terrace and enclosed living space to provide an aesthetic similar to the adjacent buildings, while also delivering a modern medium density terraced building solution.
