Summary

The proposal seeks to re-assert the residential character of Queen’s Road at its eastern edge, meeting the challenges of the junction with London Road by adapting the town-house typology under a continuous rhythm of pitched roofs projected forward of the gable.

At ground level the buildings contribute to an improved pedestrian realm by having recognisable entrances.

The scheme saw extensive consultation with local businesses and residents and was generally very well received.
