East Grinstead Planning Success

MDR have secured planning permission for another outstanding scheme based in East Grinstead.

The development site sits within the heart of East Grinstead town centre and seeks to revitalise the current shopping district to create a hub of public realm space, shopping facilities and residential units. The scheme will provide 129 residential units, formed of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and over 1600 sqm of commercial space.

MDR worked tirelessly to deliver the application in record time, with the entire scheme development life cycle from concept to planning submission being only three months. Working to such a tight time frame resulted in the team quickly and efficiently analysing key site constraints and opportunities whilst simultaneously working up an array of options investigating different unit splits and massing options. The result of this efficient working process resulted in a scheme that maximises site efficiency whilst delivering key outputs in line with the strict programme.

The scheme has been well received by both the local council and residents via public consultations and should prove a key development for the area over the coming years.
