MDR successfully achieved planning permission from Lewisham council in 2015 for a new build residential scheme located at 29 Pomeroy Street in Peckham.

MDR’s proposals went through several pre-applications and detailed design reviews before the final scheme comprising 37 one, two and three bed units achieved consent.

MDR visited the site on Thursday (17^th November 2017) prior to hand over to Clarion Housing Association by contractors Skillcrown Homes. Skillcrown managed to successfully mange a tricky site to delivery a scheme of excellent quality. The scheme will provide much needed affordable housing provision and occupants are expected to begin moving in Pre-Christmas.

The new occupants will be greeted with superb amenity spaces, high ceilings and easy access to local amenities and main line rail stations. We are delighted with the result.

Congratulations to Redrow who have been awarded multi story development of the year for Peel Centre Colindale, at The Bricks 2017 Awards.

The awards celebrate the best in house building and are considered “The Oscars” of the construction industry. The judges praised Redrow for demonstrating not just the highest build quality but excellent place making skills for this inner city parkland scheme.

Colindale Gardens is a major new £1bn development in Barnet set to comprise of 2,900 homes, 9 acres of public green space, alongside a shopping plaza and school. The development is expected to continue for the next 12 years bringing much needed homes to London’s families, first time buyers and young professionals.

Spanning   47 acres, Colindale Gardens is a regeneration scheme that will transform the old disused 20^th century tower blocks and adjacent land, which was once the Peel Centre, a former metropolitan police training facility, into a vibrant new community.

MDR are pleased to be one of the architectural companies working on this project, directors Howard Lambert and Neil Stephens are proud to be part of the technical delivery team currently working on blocks R, S and M.

Works at Sumner Road are progressing rapidly. The 14 unit residential scheme achieved planning consent in 2016 and is on track for completion in 2018.

MDR are happy to announce that the full planning application for Dunheved Road (Thornton Heath) has been submitted.

The proposed work consists of a new build residential block containing 35 apartments. The design for the scheme is a contemporary design solution of masonry, aluminium windows and metal balconies. MDR have used  solid (building frontage) and void (balconies) to break the building massing down into component parts similar to the width of the adjacent existing houses.

MDR are proud to announce another successful planning determination in the London Borough of Croydon. The scheme at 19-21 Russell Hill sought approval for the demolition of two existing two storey residential detached houses and the construction of 22 new residential units, formed of a mix of flats and houses, creating much needed space for individuals, couples and families. A large Registered Provider will develop the project over the coming 18/24-month programme with the aim of expanding their Croydon presence.

The recent decision extends MDRs exemplar planning track record within the Borough, which has seen the positive determination of hundreds of units over the last twelve moths. MDR are currently working on a large portfolio of circa 1200 further units at feasibility, pre-app and planning stages within Croydon.
